As a symbolic act, a feast has a cultural meaning that tells us a lot of things about the community in which it takes place. In Spain, in the Castilian province of Zamora, that of “marzipan and oven-baked bream”, a very solemn Holy Week is celebrated annually. This photographs are centred on the contrast between the old and the new, not as irreconcilable spheres, but as tokens of the constant evolution and lively change of Spanish culture.
